What the Session Includes

  1. Introduction & Safety Briefing – Guests receive safety gear (goggles, gloves) and an overview of tools and processes.

  2. Demonstration – Our lead glassblower shows each step: gathering molten glass, shaping it on the blowpipe, adding colour, blowing the bubble, forming the final shape.

  3. Hands-On Activity – Under supervision, you will gather your own glass, shape it and work toward a finished piece.

  4. Annealing & Finish – Your piece is placed in our kiln to slowly cool, ensuring durability and stability. You’ll be notified when it’s ready for pickup or shipping.

  5. Keepsake – You take home your piece, plus photos of your time in the studio.

Who Can Join & What to Expect

  • All skill levels welcome — Whether you’ve never touched glass or have prior experience.

  • Age and safety — Typically recommended for ages 18+ (younger guests may join with adult supervision).

  • Session time — Approximately 90-120 minutes (including briefing, demonstration, hands-on work).

  • What you wear — Closed-toe shoes, natural fibres (avoid synthetic fabrics that melt), long hair tied back.

A: The annealing process takes several hours. You can collect youe work the day after,

A: Typically hand-held objects (for example a bowl, vase, ornament) in the 10-15 cm range. Size may vary depending on the session.
Q: Can I design ahead of time?
A: Yes! You can bring sketches or ideas – our instructor will help adjust them to the glass-blowing process.
Q: Can I bring a camera?
A: Of course! We welcome photos (but please follow safety guidelines and avoid flash in the hot zone).
